For this piece, I was lent an old halloween prop (the skull) and decided to set up a still life of my own with that and my moms monstera plant, including some accessories such as a candle and a small woven box. I set it up and photographed it and painted it from that. I find skulls very interesting to paint with their  resemblance to the human face and symmetrical appearance.
